Blood donation camp earns this school recognition

A blood donation camp at Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, brought teachers, parents, and alumni together for a shared cause. Organised by the school’s Interact Club in collaboration with the Rotary Club, Faridabad, the camp collected 84 units of blood.

The involvement of teachers, parents, and alumni gave the initiative a reach beyond the students who organised it. Their participation brought different parts of the school community together around blood donation. By the end of the camp, 84 units had been collected.

The Interact Club organised the camp, with teachers and volunteers also contributing to the effort. For the students, it was an opportunity to see what service involves in practice: bringing people together and working towards a common purpose. The participation of parents and alumni extended that effort beyond the school day and the classroom.

Recognition for the effort

Mr Rajesh Arora, Past President of the Rotary Club, and Mr Jayant Gupta, Secretary of the Rotary Club of Faridabad Aravali, presented a trophy to Apeejay School, Faridabad. The recognition acknowledged the school’s contribution to the humanitarian cause.

The school Principal praised the Interact Club, teachers, and volunteers for their work. The Principal also encouraged students to continue serving society with compassion and selflessness. That message gave the camp a purpose beyond the number of units collected. It asked students to carry the same concern for others into future acts of service.

The camp reflected the school’s motto, Soaring High is My Nature, and its commitment to social responsibility. Its immediate outcome was the collection of 84 units of blood, supported by teachers, parents, and alumni.

The recognition from the Rotary Club marked that collective effort, while the Principal’s appeal pointed towards the responsibility students can continue to take on.
