The foundational years play a vital role in shaping how children learn, communicate, and understand the world around them. With this focus, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, provides a joyful, inclusive, and stimulating environment for learners from Nursery to Class II.
The school’s approach goes beyond academic instruction. It supports the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and creative development of every child through activities suited to their age and learning needs.
Exploration makes learning meaningful
Classrooms are designed as lively spaces where children learn through exploration, observation, and interaction. Stories, rhymes, games, role play, puzzles, and manipulatives help introduce different concepts. Art and craft, music, and movement also make lessons enjoyable and easier to understand.

Hands-on experiences form an important part of this process. Children touch, feel, sort, match, create, construct, and experiment as they learn. These activities connect classroom concepts with their surroundings while encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and confidence.
Such practical experiences also reinforce academic concepts naturally. They allow children to understand ideas through participation instead of depending on rote memorisation.
Growing through movement and interaction
Physical development receives equal attention. Children take part in exercises, outdoor games, fun races, yoga, balancing activities, and rhythmic movements. These activities strengthen coordination, flexibility, stamina, and gross and fine motor skills. They also introduce children to teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Collaborative games, group tasks, and classroom interactions support emotional and social growth. Children gradually learn to share, cooperate, communicate, and respect others. Teachers maintain a warm atmosphere where every learner feels valued and confident enough to express ideas freely.
The school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, addressed the young learners. “We believe that the early years are the foundation of a child’s lifelong learning journey. Our tiny tots from nursery to Class II are encouraged to learn through play, exploration, physical activities, and hands-on experiences. We focus on nurturing their academic abilities along with confidence, creativity, communication, social skills, and physical well-being,” he shared.
