ASU Opens Admissions for NCTE-Recognised Four-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programmes

The School of Education at Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Sohna, Gurugram, has commenced admissions for the academic session 2026–27 for its NCTE-recognised Four-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programmes (ITEP), designed in accordance with the vision and recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Applications are currently being invited for the following programmes:

  • ITEP B.A. B.Ed. (Secondary)
  • ITEP B.Sc. B.Ed. (Secondary)

These integrated programmes have been developed to prepare competent, innovative, and socially responsible teachers capable of addressing the evolving needs of school education in India. The curriculum combines disciplinary knowledge, pedagogical training, technology-enabled teaching, school internships, experiential learning, and holistic personality development, ensuring that students receive both academic depth and practical teaching experience.

The University has stated that the programmes are structured to provide future educators with a strong foundation in subject knowledge while simultaneously equipping them with modern teaching methodologies, classroom management skills, and the ability to integrate technology effectively into the teaching-learning process.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who have appeared in the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the 10+2 or equivalent examination are eligible to apply for admission. The University has clarified that reservation and relaxation in eligibility criteria will be provided as per Government and NCTE norms.
