Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram achieves major milestone with NCTE approval for ITEP programmes
The recognition paves the way for four-year integrated teacher education programmes designed to nurture skilled, ethical, and innovative educators
Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram, has achieved another significant milestone in the field of teacher education by receiving recognition for the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) B.A.B.Ed. and ITEP B.Sc.B.Ed. programmes from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The recognition enables the University to offer these prestigious four-year integrated teacher education programmes in accordance to the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The recognition reflects the University’s steadfast commitment to academic excellence, quality teacher preparation, innovation in education, and nation-building through the development of competent, ethical, and professionally empowered teachers.
On this proud occasion, the School of Education expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the visionary leadership of the University.
The Head, School of Education Dr Vijay Kumar conveyed sincere thanks to Hon’ble Chancellor, Hon’ble Pro Chancellor, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Dr. VS Garg Honorary Advisor to School of Education, Dr Renu Batra, Advisor Higher Education, Dr Mithilesh Kumar Singh, OSD to Hon’ble Chancellor Madam, Prof. Ananda Padhan and all members of the University administration and faculty whose continuous guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support made this achievement possible.
The School also acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the faculty members and staff who worked diligently throughout the application and compliance process, ensuring that all academic and infrastructural requirements were fulfilled with the highest standards of quality.
Speaking on the occasion, Head, School of Education stated:

The newly recognised ITEP B.A.B.Ed. and ITEP B.Sc.B.Ed. programmes will provide students with a comprehensive four-year integrated curriculum that combines disciplinary studies with professional teacher education, experiential learning, school internships, educational technology, research, Indian Knowledge Systems, inclusive education, and holistic personality development.
