Meet Ridhima Sharda, mother of Kiara Sharda, an LKG student at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar. As a parent, she has witnessed a remarkable transformation in her daughter’s confidence, communication skills, and enthusiasm for learning since joining the school. In this candid conversation, the parent shares her experience with this kindergarten, the positive changes she has observed in Kiara, and why the school has become a trusted choice for her family.
How has your experience with Apeejay Rhythms been so far?
My experience has been very good. I am quite satisfied with the school and the way my daughter, Kiara, is progressing. We shifted her from another school, and I can clearly see positive changes in her overall development.
What changes have you noticed since she joined the school?
The most noticeable change has been in her confidence level. Earlier, she was very shy and an introvert. She would hesitate to interact with others and often seemed withdrawn. Since joining here, she has become much more expressive and interested in participating in different activities. Her communication skills have improved, and her overall personality has blossomed.
Has her attitude towards school changed as well?
Absolutely. In her previous school, there were times when she did not want to go to school and would throw tantrums. As a parent, that was quite worrying. However, after joining Apeejay Rhythms, she looks forward to going to school every day. For me, that is one of the biggest achievements and a clear indication that she feels comfortable, safe, and happy in the school environment.
Is Kiara a fussy eater?
No, not really. She has never been a troublesome eater. Like most children, she has her favourites, and she particularly enjoys pasta. However, we make sure that she eats healthy meals at home. We have a family routine where Fridays are treated as a fun food day, so she looks forward to enjoying treats like homemade fries. I think it is important to strike a balance between healthy eating and allowing children to enjoy their favourite foods occasionally. She is quite aware of these habits and understands the importance of eating well.
How is she at home when it comes to studies and learning?
She enjoys learning and is gradually adapting well to her academics. Since there was a difference in the curriculum between her previous school and Apeejay, I initially helped her a little more at home. However, she is catching up well and participates enthusiastically in school activities.
How do you spend quality time with your children?
I am a homemaker, so I spend most of my time with my children. I have an elder daughter as well, who studies in Class VII at Apeejay School, Model Town. We enjoy spending time together as a family, and I stay actively involved in their daily routines and learning journeys.
Would you like Kiara also to continue her education within the Apeejay family of schools?
Yes, definitely. We are very happy with our experience so far, and Kiara will continue her schooling within the Apeejay family. Seeing both my daughters grow and thrive here gives me great confidence in the school.
