Students of Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, showcase creativity and healthy choices in a vibrant culinary celebration

Recently, Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar successfully organised a Nutrition Tiffin Diet Competition and a Salad Making Competition for the students of Classes I and II. The aim was to promote healthy eating habits from an early age. The vibrant and engaging event provided young learners with an opportunity to understand the importance of balanced nutrition while showcasing their creativity and enthusiasm. 

The competitions witnessed wholehearted participation from the students, who displayed remarkable excitement and innovation. The initiative was thoughtfully designed to instill awareness about the significance of wholesome food and to encourage children to adopt nutritious dietary practices in their daily lives.

In the Nutrition Tiffin Diet Competition, students presented an array of colourful and well-balanced tiffins filled with fresh fruits, vegetables, and homemade delicacies. The entries reflected careful planning and a clear understanding of healthy eating. From sprout salads and whole-grain sandwiches to fruit platters and traditional nutritious dishes, the young participants demonstrated how healthy food can be both appealing and delicious. The creativity and effort of the children were evident in the thoughtful combinations and attractive presentations.

The Salad Making Competition added a delightful touch to the event. Students prepared simple yet visually appealing salads using fresh fruits and vegetables. Their imaginative presentations, featuring vibrant colours and artistic arrangements, transformed ordinary ingredients into delightful creations. From smiley faces to floral patterns and thematic designs, each salad reflected the students’ originality and enthusiasm. The activity not only enhanced their culinary skills but also encouraged them to appreciate the value of fresh and natural foods. 

The competitions served as an effective platform for experiential learning, fostering essential life skills such as creativity, teamwork, and awareness about personal health. Teachers and judges commended the participants for their innovative ideas, neat presentation, and understanding of nutritional value.
