Annual Sports Day 2025–26 celebrated with zeal and sporting excellence

Recently, Apeejay School, Kharghar, celebrated its Annual Sports Day for the academic session 2025–26 with great enthusiasm, spirited participation, and remarkable sportsmanship. The event served as a vibrant platform for students to demonstrate their physical prowess, discipline, teamwork, and resilience, reinforcing the school’s strong belief in holistic education and all-round development. 

The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Mr Randhir Singh, along with the Guests of Honour, Mrs Trupti Ravinder Desai and Capt. Ravinder Desai, whose inspiring presence added dignity and motivation to the celebration. The programme commenced with a warm and respectful welcome of the dignitaries, setting a gracious tone for the day.   

The highlight of the opening ceremony was an impressive March Past by the four Houses. With synchronised steps, immaculate formations, and exemplary coordination, the students displayed months of rigorous practice and discipline. The Guard of Honour, presented with precision and pride, symbolised respect, unity, and team spirit. The oath-taking ceremony, led by the Head Boy, reaffirmed the participants’ commitment to fairness, integrity, and true sportsmanship. The torch run, carrying the flame of determination and perseverance, further ignited excitement and enthusiasm across the arena.

Addressing the gathering, the school Principal, Dr Sonali Balwatkar, emphasised that sports play a vital role in shaping character, leadership, resilience, and perseverance among students. The Annual Sports Meet was formally declared open by the Chief Guest, marking the beginning of a day filled with energetic competition.  

The sports field soon came alive with a series of thrilling track and field events. From sprints and relays to jumps and throws, students competed with confidence, passion, and dedication. Every event reflected strategic preparation and consistent training under the able guidance of the sports faculty. The Mass PT display emerged as a visual treat, showcasing rhythm, unity, and flawless coordination. Adding cultural charm to the occasion, the invocation and closing dance performances infused the programme with colour, grace, and festivity.

Behind the scenes, meticulous planning and seamless coordination by the teaching and non-teaching staff ensured the smooth execution of the event, from logistics and technical arrangements to safety and hospitality.

The prize distribution ceremony marked the proud culmination of the day, with medals, certificates, and trophies honouring the achievers. The Best Athlete awards and the Overall House Trophy celebrated both individual excellence and collective teamwork.

The day concluded on a triumphant note, echoing the belief that sports not only build character but reveal it, leaving students with cherished memories and renewed determination.
