Creativity Triumphs Again: Apeejay College of Fine Arts dominates Youth Festival 2025 

The Jalandhar-based college bags overall trophy for 25th consecutive year

Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, a name synonymous with creativity, culture, and excellence, once again showcased its artistic brilliance at the C-Zone’s Zone A Youth Festival 2025, organised by Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar. The three-day event, brought together some of the most talented young performers from across the region, and ACFA emerged as the undisputed champion—continuing its legacy of excellence in fine and performing arts.

Participating in a total of 35 events, ACFA bagged the coveted Overall Championship Trophy with an impressive 147 points, maintaining a commanding lead of 32 points over the runner-up team. The victory once again reaffirmed the college’s unmatched dominance in the field of art and culture.

The college achieved first prizes in 18 events, including Kawishri, Mime, Skit, One Act Play, Costume Parade, Classical Vocal, Classical Instrumental (Percussion), Rangoli, Clay Modeling, Debate (English & Hindi), Collage Making, Group Song, Group Shabad/Bhajan, Classical Dance, Western Vocal (Solo & Group), and Western Instrumental Solo.

Adding to the glory, ACFA secured second positions in 10 events such as Choreography, Vaar Singing, General Dance, Painting on the Spot, Mimicry, Elocution (English & Punjabi), Phulkari, Geet/Ghazal, and Poster Making, along with third prizes in Gidha, Bhangra, Folk Song, and Folk Orchestra.

Expressing immense pride and joy, Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA, congratulated the students and faculty for their extraordinary achievement. She remarked, “Apeejay has always been a winner—not only in academics but also in artistic and co-curricular excellence. This victory is a reflection of our students’ creativity, discipline, and dedication.”

Dr. Dhingra credited the college’s consistent success to the visionary leadership of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, President of Apeejay Education, and the guiding principles of Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Paul, who envisioned the institution as a hub for promoting art and culture.

She also extended heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Amita Mishra (Dean, Youth Festival), Dr. Arun Mishra (Cultural Advisor), and all the dedicated mentors and faculty members who guided the students.

Highlighting the college’s enduring record, Dr. Dhingra proudly shared that Apeejay College of Fine Arts has been winning the overall championship trophy for the past 25 years, a testament to its unwavering commitment to excellence.
