Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar came alive with festive joy and cultural vibrancy as it hosted “Rangmanch-e-Roshni 1.0 – A Pre-Diwali Bash” under the lively theme “Light, Camera, Action!”

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and parents, along with the gracious presence of sarpanches from nearby villages, heads and faculty members, and participants from various playway schools. The celebration began with the Lighting of the Lamp, symbolising the eternal victory of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance.

The morning commenced on a devotional note as Ms. Nidhi Sharma, Music Teacher, along with the school choir, presented the Ek Shloki Sangrah of Shree Ramayana, filling the atmosphere with spiritual warmth. A series of mesmerising performances followed, including a graceful Invocation Dance, a theatrical play based on the Ramayana, and vibrant cultural dances that beautifully captured the festive spirit of Diwali and Punjab.

Adding colour and cheer to the day, the event also featured the Giggles & Bubbles Baby Show, Little Light & Fiesta Baby Show, and an engaging Ramp Walk where young participants dressed as characters from the Ramayana, earning immense applause from parents and guests alike.

Bringing depth and reflection to the celebration, students staged a short yet powerful act on Bandi Chhor Diwas, highlighting the values of courage, compassion, and freedom as taught by Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji.

In his welcome address, Principal Mr. A.K. Sharma emphasised the importance of celebrating festivals as a way to foster harmony, togetherness, and cultural appreciation. The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Vice Principal Mrs. Loveleen Bagga, who acknowledged the dedicated efforts of students, teachers, and parents in making the celebration a grand success.

The day-long celebration was a resounding success, blending tradition, creativity, and joy. ‘Rangmanch-e-Roshni 1.0’ not only illuminated the school campus with festive brightness but also reflected the true Apeejay ethos — nurturing creativity, culture, and community spirit while inspiring young minds to spread the light of positivity and knowledge everywhere.
