The Finance Club of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, recently organised an innovative event titled “FinInfluencer Pitch: A Reel Making Competition”. Designed to blend creativity with financial literacy, the competition encouraged students to simplify complex financial concepts through short, engaging digital content.

The event reflected AIMETC’s forward-thinking approach to experiential learning, where participants were tasked with creating a 30-second Instagram reel explaining a financial concept in a clear, creative, and relatable manner. To maintain authenticity and originality, entries were submitted in advance for verification to ensure that no copyrighted or AI-generated content was used.

Following a meticulous evaluation process, five participants were shortlisted to present their reels during the final session. Each entry showcased a unique perspective on finance, blending information with innovation to make financial education more accessible and entertaining.

Highlights of the Event:
Kashish opened the session with an insightful reel on RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement), explaining the mechanism with confidence and clarity.

Harleen presented the 50:30:20 Rule for personal budgeting, using her own voice and everyday examples to make the concept relatable and practical.

Ritika impressed the audience with her reel on Trading, skillfully combining informative content with creative editing and seamless transitions.

Manan offered a unique angle by exploring Ethanol Blending and Its Effect on Cost, linking environmental sustainability to financial decision-making.

Harkirat concluded the competition with a visually engaging reel on Personal Financial Planning, crafted beautifully using Canva.

The event emerged as a perfect fusion of financial knowledge, digital creativity, and experiential learning. Each participant brought originality and enthusiasm, making the session both informative and inspiring for the audience.

Congratulating all the participants, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, commended, “The Finance Club has done a great work in organising such meaningful and innovative initiatives that promote financial awareness, creative thinking, and self-confidence among students.” He highlighted how such activities help students develop a practical understanding of financial principles while enhancing their digital communication skills.

The competition was judged by Dr. Anu Sahi and Ms. Arushi Sikka, who praised the participants for their conceptual clarity, creativity, and communication skills.

Through FinInfluencer Pitch, the Finance Club once again demonstrated its commitment to making finance fun, relevant, and future-ready, providing a dynamic platform for students to learn, express, and evolve in today’s digital-driven financial landscape.
