Apeejay family celebrates Founder’s Day honouring the vision and values of Dr Stya Paul 

Commemorating the 106th birth anniversary of Founder Chairman Late Dr. Stya Paul, Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, celebrated Founder’s Day with deep reverence and enthusiasm.  The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the visionary educationist, philanthropist, and nation-builder whose ideals continue to guide generations.

The celebration commenced with a soulful Saraswati Vandana performed by students, invoking blessings for wisdom and knowledge. Following this, Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, paid floral tribute to the Founder Chairman and read out a special message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education.

In her message, Mrs Berlia had beautifully highlighted the timeless values espoused by Dr Stya Paul — integrity, empathy, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence in education. She encouraged students and faculty to uphold these ideals and contribute positively to society, carrying forward his vision of value-based education.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bagga reflected, “Dr Stya Paul ji had been an enterprising person, a strong disciplinarian and a beacon of light, who steered the Apeejay movement to its present glory all throughout his life.”    

He further shared insights from Dr Stya Paul’s illustrious life and urged students to imbibe his qualities of resilience, compassion, fearlessness, and truthfulness, which remain as relevant today as ever.

The cultural segment of the event added vibrancy to the celebrations. Students enthralled the audience with a melodious medley and a graceful dance performance, showcasing their creativity and spirit. Arushi Suri (B.Tech CSE), Aastha (MBA), and Nandini (BCA) also delivered heartfelt talks on the theme “Soaring High is My Nature”, echoing Dr Stya Paul Ji’s enduring philosophy of self-belief and excellence.

A highlight of the event was the announcement of the Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values 2025, which carries a total scholarship worth ₹20,000. The award includes a citation and a cash prize of ₹10,000 each for undergraduate and postgraduate categories.
The recipients this year were:

• Neha (MCA) and Khushboo Gupta (MBA) – Postgraduate Category
  
• Manan (BBA) and Abhiroopa (B.Tech) – Undergraduate Category
  

The event concluded with the National Anthem, as faculty and students joined in unity, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the values and vision of their Founder Chairman.
