Festivals are moments of joy that connect communities with their cultural and spiritual roots. Among them, Janmashtami holds a special charm, as it celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, an eternal symbol of love, wisdom, and divine playfulness. The festival fills hearts with happiness as children dress as Krishna and Radha, bhajans resonate through the air, and stories of Krishna’s leelas remind us of timeless values. Carrying this spirit of devotion and festivity, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, celebrated Janmashtami with great zeal and reverence.

The programme commenced with soulful bhajans that filled the campus with devotion and energy. Students staged captivating performances depicting episodes from Krishna’s life, bringing to life the magic of Vrindavan and the lessons embedded in his divine journey. Their graceful movements and expressive enactments not only entertained but also imparted deep moral values.

Adding further charm to the occasion were students dressed as Radha and Krishna, who mesmerised the audience with their innocence and joy. Their presence symbolised the purity of love and the spirit of togetherness that Janmashtami inspires.

The event was graced by Vice Principal, Ms. Aarti Shorey Bhat, who addressed the gathering. In her speech, she highlighted the importance of imbibing Lord Krishna’s teachings—compassion, truth, and righteousness—into everyday life. She encouraged students to follow these values and grow into responsible individuals who contribute positively to society.

The celebration concluded with applause and admiration for the efforts of the students and teachers who made the event memorable. It not only showcased the creative talents of the young learners but also deepened their appreciation of India’s spiritual and cultural traditions.

Through music, dance, and devotion, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar ensured that the spirit of Janmashtami touched every heart, leaving behind an atmosphere of joy, faith, and inspiration.
