Every success story begins with belief, and these Class VIII-E toppers (academic year 2024-25) from Apeejay School, Noida, are proof that determination and sincerity can light the way to brilliance. Entering Class IX with exceptional academic records and even higher aspirations, these students have shown how powerful goal-setting, strategic studying, and self-discipline can be.
Meet Avni Sarda, Riddhi Mondal, Zaaera Anas Zubair, Aria Verma and Omveer Singh and who have scored 98.23%, 96.6%, 95.9%, 95% and 95% respectively in their final exams.
Speaking about her preparation strategy, Avni shared, “The first thing I do is remain calm and not panic that exams are here. I mainly target my weak areas, focus a little on medium-understood areas, and hardly touch my well-understood areas. For my weak areas, I practise a lot using NCERTs, examples, and reference books.”
Meanwhile, Riddhi explained that although she never follows a rigid timetable, she ensured to cover all the topics done in the class every week. “I focus more on subjects like Math and Science that require regular practice. I firmly believe that there is no shortcut to success. Thorough revision and practice are some of the strategies that help keep the information fresh and updated in my mind,” she added.
So what about the challenges they faced during exam time? “Time pressure with 8 subjects to prepare, I often felt I didn’t have enough time. Managing the subjects was a bit difficult,” shared Zaeera.
For Aria, managing time between different subjects and handling the pressure to perform well was the biggest challenge. And Omveer struggled with the part before the exams. “Sometimes I face difficulty in choosing what to study first or which subjects need more attention becomes confusing,” he added.
Now their parents beam with pride, their teachers applaud their growth, and their peers look up to them as role models. Whether it’s late-night revisions, solving complex problems, or staying consistent even during setbacks, they’ve done it all. This time, their sights are set on bigger goals — and their journey forward promises even greater success.
