Parent of a high-achieving Class 10 student shares how the school’s supportive environment boosting her son’s academic and personal growth
With a nurturing environment, experienced educators, and ample opportunities for growth, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg has proven to be a place where students like Mitesh Dutta thrive. Currently a student of Class 10, Mitesh has been a part of the Apeejay family since Nursery. His mother, in a recent conversation, shares her experience of her son’s academic journey, his achievements, and how the school’s supportive environment has helped him grow not just in academics but as a person too.
How would you describe Mitesh as a student?
Mitesh is a sincere, caring and responsible child. He is not only excellent in academics but is also very active in extracurricular activities. Whether it’s school or home, he is always enthusiastic and ready to participate.
What achievements has he made in school so far?
Mitesh has received recognition in various school events. He stood second in a poem recitation competition and secured the third position in a Tech Fest quiz. He also participated in the Model United Nations (MUN) last year.
Since when has Mitesh been with Apeejay and how has the transition between branches been?
He has been with Apeejay since Nursery in 2013. He started at the Mahavir Marg branch till UKG, then moved to the Model Town branch from Class 1 to 8. In Class 9, he shifted back to Mahavir Marg. The transition was smooth and the school staff, especially his Class 9 teacher and Principal, were extremely supportive. He never faced any challenges during this change.
How has his academic performance been over the years?
He has consistently performed well. He usually scores above 95%, and last year in Class 9, he scored 97.2%, securing the third position in his class. His grades have only improved over the years.
What is your overall feedback about Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg?
As a parent, I have always been satisfied. The teachers are excellent, the environment is nurturing, and there is strong academic and emotional support. Counselling sessions are conducted regularly, and even in classrooms, teachers guide students continuously. I never felt there was anything lacking in the school.
