At Apeejay School, Saket, excellence isn’t just about marks – it’s about passion, persistence, and personal growth. For the academic session 2024–25, three young learners stood out in Class 6A with their exceptional performances. We spoke to Mohammad GhaniVeer Heavent Malhotra, and Suparna Chakraborty – now proud Class 7 students – about their journey, their favorite subjects, and what fuels their success.

Mohammad Ghani – A Math Whiz with a Love for Learning

Scoring an impressive 93.2%, Mohammad Ghani emerged as one of the star performers in Class 6A. Having been part of the Apeejay family since Kindergarten, Mohammad calls the school his second home. Reflecting on his transition to middle school, he said, “It was a new experience, but I enjoyed it.”

A big fan of Mathematics, Mohammad credits his father for helping him master complex concepts. “I study with my dad. He clears all of my doubts,” he shared. His enthusiasm for learning also extends beyond the classroom – he loves Kabaddi and participated in Robotics and Olympiads last year. “I was expecting good marks because I had studied a lot,” he added, clearly proud of his dedication.

Veer Heavent Malhotra – A Budding Linguist with a Flair for French

Scoring 86.7%, Veer Heavent Malhotra brought not just academic performance, but a whole lot of cheer to his Class 6A journey. “I was on a trip when the results came out. I couldn’t celebrate properly, but I was very happy!” he recalled with a smile.

Veer has a special fondness for Hindi but it’s French where he truly shines. “In French, I scored 58 out of 60 – the highest in both sections,” he said proudly. His advice? “You just need a little help to start with. Once you get going, you’ll keep improving.” Having made a smooth shift from primary to middle school, he described his first day of Class 7 as “very nice and full of excitement.”

Suparna Chakraborty – A Dedicated Learner with a Love for Dance

With 86.5%, Suparna Chakraborty’s achievement came as a pleasant surprise- even to herself! “I didn’t expect this because our books came a bit late, but I started preparing as soon as the syllabus was out,” she shared.

Suparna is passionate about both Maths and English, and gives credit to her family and teachers for their unwavering support. Her school spirit is equally strong – she participated in a Kathak dance performance during the annual day and boasts of 100% attendance. “During holidays, I actually missed school and my friends,” she said, expressing her deep love for school life.
