Organising social service programs in MBA schools fosters empathy, leadership, and a sense of responsibility among students. These initiatives enable future managers to understand community challenges, integrate social good into corporate strategies, and contribute to Sustainable Development Goals. Engaging in such activities enhances interpersonal skills, teamwork, and sustainability-focused problem-solving—essential qualities for well-rounded business leaders.
Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka demonstrated its commitment to community welfare by recently organising a Food Donation Program at “Children of the World,” an NGO dedicated to nurturing abandoned children. This program aligns with ASM’s focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Goals.
During the event, faculty members distributed food packets to 30 children. “Children of the World,” recognised as an adoption center by the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) under the Ministry of Women and Child Development, plays a vital role in providing shelter and care for abandoned kids.
As part of ASM’s curriculum, students actively participate in courses on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability and engage in internship-based community service programs. These initiatives enable students to develop a sense of social responsibility while applying managerial skills in real-world scenarios.

The event was marked by meaningful interactions between ASM students and the children, fostering an atmosphere of warmth and support. Students learned firsthand about the importance of giving back and understanding societal challenges. Faculty members guided the activities, ensuring the program ran smoothly and successfully.
Ms. Sridevi, a representative of “Children of the World,” expressed gratitude for ASM’s thoughtful gesture. She commended the institution for its consistent efforts in supporting underprivileged communities and incorporating social welfare into its academic agenda.
The Food Donation Program exemplifies ASM’s holistic approach to education, combining academic rigor with societal engagement. It reinforced the idea that small acts of kindness can create significant change and inspired students to continue pursuing meaningful contributions to society. Through such endeavours, Apeejay School of Management not only upholds its educational standards but also strengthens its role as a catalyst for positive societal transformation.
