Students from Apeejay School, Saket’s Interact Club recently attended the District Interact Leadership Assembly (DILA) at Maitreyi College, Chanakyapuri. This annual event gathers young leaders from schools across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) to share impactful projects, foster collaboration, and inspire a commitment to community service.

Apeejay’s Interact Club members participated with enthusiasm, showcasing a range of initiatives they led throughout the year, including “DOPOE” (Do One Positive Every Day), “Raksha Bandhan with Rakshaks,” and “Swachhta Abhiyaan.” These projects reflected the students’ dedication to social causes, environmental responsibility, and creating a positive community impact.

Dr. Sujeet Eric Masih, Principal of Apeejay School, Saket, praised the students’ commitment to service, remarking, “Charity begins at home, as the saying goes, and these young leaders have taken that value to heart.” He emphasised that values are nurtured from an early age, noting, “Values are imbibed from school, where students learn the importance of giving back to society,” adding his appreciation for the students’ meaningful work: “Kudos to our Interactors.”

DILA 2024 offered students an invaluable opportunity to network with fellow Interact Club members and leaders from various schools, sharing their experiences, challenges, and the impact of their work. By connecting with peers who share a commitment to social engagement, the students were able to exchange ideas and learn from each other, broadening their understanding of community service and leadership.

The event also featured notable speakers who contributed valuable insights on leadership, resilience, and empathy. Among them were Shobhna Yadav, a respected media personality; Neeraj Gera, a motivational speaker known for his inspirational work; and Dr. Roma Kumar, a senior consultant psychologist at Ganga Ram Hospital. Each of these guests shared experiences and advice aimed at inspiring the young leaders in attendance.

DILA 2024 was a resounding success, as it created a dynamic platform for connection, collaboration, and learning among Interactors. The Interact Club of Apeejay School, Saket, is dedicated to shaping students into responsible, engaged leaders, and events like DILA strengthen their resolve to continue their efforts in community service, empowering them to make a positive difference in society.
