Dads take centrestage at this pre-school for a joyous bonding

The ‘Dad and Me’ event at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld in Model Town, Jalandhar was thrilling and full of laughter. The aim was to bring families closer by celebrating fatherhood. There was energy and enthusiasm in dads and kids that was coupled with the atmosphere of bonding in the family, community love, and joy.

The day started with a warm address by the Officiating Principal, Ms Priyanka Grover. She pointed out the significant role fathers play in developing their children’s growth and development. Her speech set a reflective tone for the day, as she referred to the importance of parent participation in early years.

Speaking about the significance of the day, Ms Nidhi Ghai, School Head, Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar, said; “This event was organised to inculcate bonding between the fathers and their wards. We look forward to future events where both parents – fathers and mothers – can be involved so that the kids know that fathers also play a significant role when it comes to their learning.”

Activities Galore

The day was filled with an activity through which a string of fun bound the father to his offspring, from the hook step dance challenge to the creativity challenges, everybody was dancing to the beat, and the action was innovative and collaborative. The moments in the ‘Know Your Child’ quiz made the dads discover new facets of their children’s personalities. Father-and-child ramp walks had everyone present cheering for them.

Acknowledgement and Appreciation

This event was aptly made possible with the combined efforts of the staff at Apeejay led by Ms Ghai and Ms Namrata Sharma, Headmistress of the Primary Section. The hard work and dedication in the planning and preparation were indeed reflected in its smooth sailing and joyous delivery to the souls who attended this day. Participation gifts were disbursed, whereby everyone was left with a token of appreciation and fond memories of the day.

According to Mrs Alisha Saini, mother of Snisha, it was a wonderful experience to see my husband and daughter sharing a great bond at the event. “Usually fathers don’t spend that much time with their children but this event made them come closer and gave me a chance to witness this great moment thanks to the Apeejay family,” she said.

“It was a wonderful event organised by the school administration. Thank you for such a beautiful gesture for the fathers,” Mr Ishan Challana father of Manika shared.

Overall, the Dad and Me event at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld was much more than an activity-filled day, it reflected a befitting appreciation for family, the fun of fatherhood, and the place the parents take in the growth of a child.
