Independence Day holds immense significance in the hearts of every Indian. Its celebration within schools is crucial for instilling a deep sense of patriotism and national pride among students. Schools play a pivotal role in educating young minds about the struggles and sacrifices that paved the way for the freedom we enjoy today. By commemorating this day, schools honour the valiant efforts of our freedom fighters and inspire future generations to contribute towards the nation’s progress and unity.
Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park recently celebrated the 78th Independence Day which was marked by exuberant patriotic fervour, organised by the dedicated students and teachers of Tagore House. The event commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the flag by Ms Surabhi Joshi, Principal of the school, symbolising the spirit of freedom and sovereignty.





The cultural programme that followed was a poignant tribute to the immense contributions of our great freedom fighters. Through inspiring performances and recitations, the students highlighted these heroes’ powerful words and deeds, which not only awakened the nation but also set it on a path of development towards a Viksit Bharat.

With immense pride and joy, the students showcased the history of India’s progress since gaining independence. The programme vividly depicted how the baton of independence has been handed over to future citizens, who are now charged with the responsibility of carrying forward the nation’s spirit, resilience, and unity. With fervour and zeal, the participants illustrated the strides India has made in various fields, including the Green Revolution, Science and Technology, Industry, Defence, Digitalisation, Space Exploration, Fashion, and Sports.

The celebration also emphasised the rich cultural heritage, diversity, and unwavering spirit that have guided India through challenges and triumphs alike. The programme beautifully captured the essence of India’s journey, reminding everyone of the collective efforts that have shaped the nation.




The event culminated in a soulful rendition of the National Anthem, leaving the audience with a renewed sense of patriotism and pride, as they reflected on the importance of this historic day and the responsibilities it bestows upon every citizen.
