What made you join AIMC? Please walk us through your educational journey.

I joined AIMC because I was curious about the advertising industry and wanted to deepen my understanding of its processes and workings. In terms of my educational journey, it started with my graduation, when I discovered my passion for graphic designing. During that time, I had the opportunity to work on a logo design project, which sparked my interest in this creative field. I found it incredibly fascinating to bring ideas to life through visual elements, and that experience solidified my decision to pursue graphic designing as a career.

What does your office day look like?

My office days are quite fulfilling. I get to witness the dedication and hard work of my colleagues as they diligently work on their respective projects. The office environment is dynamic and inspiring, and I feel fortunate to be surrounded by talented individuals who constantly push the boundaries of creativity. Each day, I learn something new, whether it’s through collaboration or by taking on new challenges. It’s a rewarding experience to contribute my skills and grow professionally in such a stimulating workplace.

Why did you choose a career in Graphic Designing?

As mentioned earlier, my decision to pursue graphic designing stemmed from a project I undertook during my graduation. The process of designing a logo awakened my creative mind and sparked a deep interest in the field. I found joy in visualising ideas, combining colours as well as typography, and creating designs that conveyed a message or brand identity effectively. The ability to communicate through visual means and make a lasting impact through design is what ultimately drew me towards this career path.

What are the current trends in Graphic Designing?

In the ever-evolving world of graphic designing, there are always new trends emerging. Currently, two trends that have gained significant traction are the use of 3D elements and the creative manipulation of typography. Incorporating 3D elements into designs adds depth and realism, allowing for more immersive visual experiences. On the other hand, designers are exploring typography in unique ways, such as playing with letterforms, creating custom fonts, or blending different typefaces to form visually striking compositions. These trends showcase the constant innovation and experimentation within the graphic design industry.

What tips would you give to aspiring graphic designers?

To aspiring graphic designers, I would offer a few pieces of advice. First and foremost, don’t panic and trust in your abilities. Confidence plays a crucial role in the creative process, and believing in yourself and your skills will help you overcome challenges. Secondly, be true to yourself and find your unique style and voice in design. Don’t be afraid to explore different tasks and projects from various design fields. This will allow you to discover your areas of interest and refine your skills. Finally, always stay curious and keep learning. The design industry is constantly evolving, so it’s essential to stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and software tools.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

In the next five years, I envision myself establishing my own business in graphic design. I aspire to create a platform, where I can collaborate with clients, bring their visions to life, and deliver impactful design solutions. Building my own business will give me the freedom to explore my creativity, work on diverse projects, and make a meaningful impact in the industry. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and eager to make my mark as a successful entrepreneur in the design field.
