Young learners showcase their sportsmanship spirit

Sport is the embodiment of practical academics. On the field, children learn invaluable lessons firsthand, mirroring those taught within classroom walls. From fostering teamwork and nurturing self-confidence to embracing healthy competition and forging friendships beyond the match, sports encapsulate essential life skills through active engagement.

It comes as no surprise that Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld is fervently dedicated to unveiling the wonders of sports to its students. Recently, the school joyously celebrated its Annual Sports Day: FunAthon, brimming with enthusiasm and delight.

The esteemed presence of the school’s Principal, Mr. Malkiat Singh, alongside Headmistress Ms. Nidhi Ghai and Ms. Namrata Sharma, set the stage for the event’s grandeur. Welcoming the legendary hockey icon, Mr. Manpreet Singh, as Chief Guest, the Indian field hockey maestro ceremoniously declared the event open, encouraging students to embrace the joy of sports as a means to cultivate both physical and mental strength.

From the exhilarating Mind Your Step race to the playful Kangaroo Jump and Coconut races, and the thrilling Hurdle race, fathers and children alike reveled in a spectrum of engaging activities. Meanwhile, mothers in the audience were treated to their own games, cheering on the father-son duos with unwavering enthusiasm. The event further showcased students’ prowess through vibrant performances, including jump-start races, sports guru routines, and captivating displays of yoga and karate drills, earning resounding applause from proud parents witnessing their children’s passion and precision.

The resounding success of the event not only instilled in kindergarten kids the early recognition of sports’ value but also laid a robust foundation for their holistic development. Moreover, it fostered deeper bonds between fathers and their children, as they shared a day brimming with laughter, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments of fun and games.
