World Entrepreneurs’ Day: Igniting innovation among budding entrepreneurs

Every year, the World Entrepreneurs’ Day is celebrated to honour the spirit of innovation, risk-taking, and perseverance that entrepreneurs embody. It recognises their vital role in driving economic growth, creating jobs, and shaping industries. This day acknowledges their contributions while inspiring aspiring entrepreneurs to transform ideas into impactful ventures.

In line with the above-mentioned thought, Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) in collaboration with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) celebrated the World Entrepreneurs’ Day with great enthusiasm. The event featured inspiring stories from both experienced and young entrepreneurs, highlighting the challenges and triumphs they encountered on their entrepreneurial journeys.

CEO of Satnam Artlife Wellness Centre,Jalandhar Dr Satnam Dass, who is also a  mentor at the Start-up Cell as well as a renowned wellness coach was the resource person for the event.

His insights were deeply enriching as he delved into the concept of ‘affiliated marketing’ and ‘money creation’. Dr Dass passionately motivated the students to harness these concepts as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys, emphasising their potential to kickstart their ventures with a unique approach. “You are capable of overcoming any challenge that comes your way. Have faith in your resilience,” he encouragingly told the students.   

Arshita Bassi, a brilliant student pursuing her MBA at Apeejay, took center stage to share her remarkable entrepreneurial journey. She narrated how she embarked on her entrepreneurial journey a few years ago by founding a baking business. Her story touched the hearts of the audience as she recounted the hurdles she faced in the initial stages of her venture. From sourcing quality ingredients to perfecting her baking techniques, Arshita’s journey encapsulated the essence of resilience and determination that every entrepreneur must possess. Her business is now a testament to her hard work and dedication.

“I am truly honoured to share my experiences with fellow students and budding entrepreneurs. The early days were filled with challenges, but with the right mindset and support, I was able to turn my passion for baking into a successful business,” Arshita said during her talk.

Nishika Mogla, a dynamic BBA student and a budding entrepreneur herself, also graced the event with her presence. Nishika has been running a thriving business specialising in customised photo frames. Her unique approach and artistic flair have earned her recognition within a short span of time. Nishika’s story resonated with aspiring entrepreneurs in the audience, motivating them to pursue their passions and dreams fearlessly.

In the end, Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director at AIMETC expressed his pride in the students’ accomplishments. “We are thrilled to celebrate World Entrepreneurs’ Day by showcasing the interesting journeys of Arshita Bassi and Nishika Mogla. Their stories highlight the resilience, creativity, and hard work that are essential for any entrepreneur. At Apeejay, we are dedicated to nurturing such talents and creating an environment that fosters innovation.”

The event concluded with a sense of motivation and enthusiasm among the attendees, sparking conversations and collaborations that will undoubtedly contribute to the growth of entrepreneurship within the campus and beyond.
