‘This school ignited the spirit of sportsmanship on their Sports Day’
From balloon bursting to bear walk, everything was covered at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg’s Sports Day celebration
There are only a few days when the bustling realm of academia, where books and classrooms take a break and students can heave a sigh of relief. It was a day brimming with zeal and uncontained athletic spirit – Sports Day. Beyond the excitement of competitions and the joy of triumphs, Sports Day serves as a crucible for shaping character. To embody this, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, hosted the Annual Sports Day for the Primary Wing.
The event took place for the classes I to V who participated enthusiastically and showcased their imbibed qualities of discipline, sportsmanship, team spirit, and leadership. The event began with an inauguration led by the school’s Principal, Ms Sangeeta Nistandra. The commencement of the programme took flight with Principal ma’am releasing vibrant balloons into the air, symbolising the spirited beginning of the event. Such events not only help students explore their talents but enable every student, regardless of academic prowess, to shine.
A burst of excitement filled the air as students from different classes showcased their athletic talents. From the swift 50-metere race for the boys to the playful balloon-bursting challenge for the girls in class I, each class had its set of lively activities.
The students of class II engaged in a mix of fun races like the 100-metre dash, bear walk, lemon spoo, sack, shoe, and backpack race among other things. The celebration was not just a display of vigour but also a testament to the diverse athletic talents of our students in classes III, IV, and V.
Addressing the students, Principal, Ms Nistandra underscored the significance of sports in life, urging the students to integrate sports into their daily routines. She also extended her heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated team of teachers for orchestrating a successful event. As the day concluded, filled with excitement, cheers, and a vibrant atmosphere, it marked the culmination of a day brimming with fervor and enthusiasm.
To culminate the event, the deserving winners were honoured with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, along with certificates as a recognition of their remarkable achievements, and were cheered with utmost motivation and applause from everyone present.
