Bhawna Sharma’s daughter Ananya is a student of class XII at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar. In just a year and a half of studying in the school, the mother and homemaker says there has been a lot of progress in her daughter’s performance and overall personality. In an interview, she tells us more about the experience:
Edited excerpts:
What made you choose Apeejay School, Rama Mandi?
Ananya joined the school in class XI. She scored 99 per cent in ICSE class X to become the district topper. Apeejay has a legacy of quality education, and we wanted our daughter to get maximum exposure. We got great feedback about the school and its teaching staff; in fact, one of Ananya’s cousins also studied at Apeejay Rama Mandi. Another plus is that the school is not far from our home.
Tell us about your first visit to the school during the admissions.
It was wonderful! The staff welcomed us and took us around the campus. They shared every little detail about Apeejay — from the infrastructure to the curriculum — and also cleared our doubts.
Are you noticing any progress in Ananya?
Ananya has adapted to the new school quite well. She is quite attached to the teachers and her friends and always praises them. The teachers are cooperative and friendly. They constantly motivate children to do better. My daughter is showing significant progress in academics. Her teachers also encourage her to participate in extra-curricular activities.
Do teachers keep in touch with parents?
I don’t miss any parent-teacher meetings. Ananya’s teachers share useful feedback to help her overcome her weaknesses and hone their skills. They always keep parents informed about any developments in the class, which is very helpful.
