A research scholar in the subject of Human Rights and mother of three-year-old, Rudvika Raj Sharma, Nalini Sharma is happy with Rhythms Kinderworld School in Greater Kailash-II. Her daughter studies at Kids@play.
On the first visit to Rhythms, Nalini, accompanied by her husband Sumit Sharma, an officer in the Merchant Navy, decided to go ahead with the school for their daughter. It simply fit the duo’s requirements and felt like a home away from home for Rudvika. In the following interview, the mother shares more.
When did you enroll Rudvika in the school?

In March, this year. We saw a few schools in the vicinity. Eventually, we stumbled upon Rhythms and realised that the environment of the school was quite good. We didn’t take much time before finalising it on our very first visit.
Tell us more about the first visit.
Rudvika is a kid born during COVID-19. Hence, she has been quite an introvert and shy. That’s why we thought that we must educate her about an environment different to home, something that is close-knit. Thankfully for us, Rhythms seemed like the right place. During our first visit, we met Ms Komal Nathani, Headmistress of the school. She is very cordial and compassionate. We met the other teachers too.
Does Rudvika enjoy going to school?
Yes, very much. On holidays too, she gets ready and wants to go to school. There have been several days when she doesn’t even want to come home. (Chuckles). On some days, I have noticed that she is reciting poems learnt at school to her younger sibling. Overall, she has become quite expressive and wants to meet new people and make friends.
Have you witnessed transformation in your daughter since?

Yes. There is a sea-change! The effort and hard work of her teachers is truly paying off! Even at such a young age, she knows the National Anthem, rhymes, words, shapes, colours, foods, animals and much more. All of this has been learnt in school; I am really shocked.
Moreover, Rudvika has been a picky-eater. But now, she enjoys eating different kinds of foods, vegetables and fruits. She has also become open to trying new flavours and cuisines. Whatever she is eating in school, she wants at home too. It is delightful!
In addition to this, the school is working on her fine and gross motor skills. To further the same, she is participating in very many activities and is developing ahead of her age.
Would you recommend the school to other parents?
Yes. Rudvika’s father is sailing most times, hence, it is crucial for us to secure her educational journey. We trust Rhythms and my husband feels quite satisfied as well. Even the support staff and didis in the schoolare well-groomed to handle the children in a loving manner.
