One of the most prominent factors to lookout for while choosing the right school for your child is the learning approach. Reading books and completing the given homework is not enough to let your child grow academically. You must check the quality of teachers at school and other facilities.
That is exactly what Richa Sharma, mother of Janvi Sharma, a student of class VII, studying at Apeejay School Tanda Road did.
In a candid interview, the mother says that after careful evaluation of all the necessary factors, she chose this school for her daughter and is highly satisfied with her decision.
How has been your child’s experience in this school so far?
Her experience at Apeejay School, Tanda Road has been incredibly amazing. At first, Janvi was in some other school and showed minimal progress. As soon as we enrolled her at Apeejay, we observed her growth at a tremendous pace.
Does she love going to school?
Without a doubt. She never misses a school day if she can help it. In emergencies requiring leave, the teachers are incredibly cooperative, offering additional support and understanding.
Changes in your daughter thus far.
Since she joined Apeejay, she has shown some positive behaviour. It is all due to immense support and encouragement from teachers who helped and encouraged her to write. Moreover, she has now become an extrovert as opposed to being an introvert.
What are some of her favourite subjects?
Since Janvi loves to read and write, English is her favourite subject amongst the other underlying subjects.
Does she participate in any extracurricular activities?
She is very active in dancing. Moreover, she is also involved in public speaking activities such as debate, and Punjabi declamation to name a few.
Mention a few of her recent achievements.
As mentioned above, Janvi is very closely involved in debates and declamations. Recently, she ranked No 2 at the Punjabi Declamation. At a debate held at the all-India level, she was adjudged the winner.
She had also learnt kickboxing. Since she was unable to manage her studies with the sport, she discontinued. But, the sport helped her lose some weight and made her appear physically fit.
Are PTMS held regularly?
Yes definitely. Then there are WhatsApp groups where teachers provide us with a schedule beforehand.
How do you support her to study at home?
The teachers of Apeejay School are the best. There is barely any need for Janvi to take tuition as she is already learning well at the school. She only takes my help when she has to complete her homework once in a while.
What do you appreciate the most about the school?
The teachers. The way they treat their students as their kids is highly remarkable. Not only the teachers, but the Principal of the school is also very cooperative.
How do you spend quality time with her at home?
Janvi rarely goes out. She loves cooking so we spend most of the time cooking fancy dishes. Other than that, we indulge in indoor games like Ludo, Carrom, or Tambola.
