A Dietician, Ms. Deepika Dua Arora, and her businessman-husband, Mr. JR Arora, chose Apeejay School International – South Delhi, for their daughters six months ago. Diaa Arora is a student of Primary-Years-Programme-III and Aanya Arora is in class Nursery. “Both of them love to be in the school. Their theoretical and practical learning have enhanced manifold,” says their mother. Read on edited excerpts from her interview.

Why did you choose Apeejay for your daughters?

I found it to be quite apt for them. In fact, I enrolled the girls at the same time. The school’s curriculum is excellent and has the best of everything from around the world. My daughters are happy and keen to be part of it.

What have been the concerning areas for them till now?

I felt that both of them must have their concepts right. Prior to their association with Apeejay, they were a bit weak on phonetics and other basics. This was quite concerning! These kids missed out on their learning due to Covid-19. And so, it was imperative to have them in a school that can aid them. Both Diaa and Aanya have coped up well now. I am satisfied with their progress and their teachers are putting in excellent efforts to make them learn.

Please share their developmental milestones.

Aanya is doing well. She doesn’t feel that learning is a burden. Earlier, Diaa lacked confidence and often felt hesitant in being able to express herself. But now, she is more self-assured. Her speaking ability has increased manifold. She has also received ample opportunities to showcase her talent on Apeejay’s stage.

What is the home environment like?

My husband and I never force the girls to pursue anything they don’t want to. I only hope that whatever they learn in life, they learn it thoroughly.

Your last visit to the school?

I attended the Christmas Carnival at school. It was great fun!

Would you recommend the school to fellow parents?

Yes, definitely.
