‘Apeejay taught me time management’

Rohit Sahwag is pursuing Post Graduate Diploma from  Apeejay School of Management (ASM) in Dwarka, New Delhi. He is specialising in marketing and operations and is currently interning at Kokomaē Chocolate, a brand offering an entire array of chocolate delicacies.In a quick interview, Rohit says he has learnt how to multitask and yet not compromise on any task’s value at ASM.

Tell us about your internship? Especially the learning and experience?

I find a combination of business development and operations work to be both exciting and rewarding and am happy to find both at Kokomaē Chocolate. I have certainly gained experience and upgraded my skills to this new challenge. I’m confident in my ability to contribute to the growth and success of Kokomae’s.

Is this work in sync with your career ambition?

Yes. I want to start my career in the operations field so basically this internship gave me a perfect experience.

 Has ASM prepared you adequately for this?

Surely! Of course, pursuing higher education can be demanding with multiple assignments, projects, exams, and extracurricular activities to balance. But learning to prioritise tasks, setting realistic goals and managing time efficiently has trained me for the real world. I have learned to succeed academically and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

One life lesson you learnt at ASM?

 Time Management is one important life lesson that many students learn during their post-graduate studies. The value of effective time management is the key and ASM has truly instilled within all its students the qualities of punctuality and timeliness. 

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

I see myself in a promising career path like working in a leadership position in a reputed company.
