Apeejay student gets selected for mental aptitude learning programme by IIT IIM alumni

A class 3 student of Apeejay Svran Global, Lavish Sachdeva has been selected for the “Gifted Kids programme” by LogIQids in partnership with TechFest IIT Bombay. The programme that will run for 40 weeks is aimed at giving children an advanced level of training in mental aptitude and IQ. Through brain teasers, the course will enhance children’s logical thinking and critical reasoning skills.

LogIQids is an online education platform founded by IIT-IIM graduates for the aptitude development of children between classes senior kindergarten and 9. Lavish was selected for the “Gifted Kids programme” upon completion of a 16-week LogiMath Basic course online, based on mathematics and logical reasoning.

“Lavish has just been promoted to class 3. Most of his batchmates in the programme, however, are those who have just gone into class 4. Out of these 8-10 kids, he was the one who was selected for the Gifted Kids programme upon the completion of his 16-week course,” his father Vikas Sachdeva, Vice President-Business Controls, Bank of America, said. “In the Gifted Kids programme, parents can choose between mathematics and science. We have enrolled him for mathematics and logical reasoning.”

Lavish has been interested in mathematics right from his early years of school. In class 1, he bagged a gold medal in the Olympiad exam. He also won the first position in the All India Abacus Championship 2020 and was the youngest among the participants. “We have been building this foundation right from the beginning, which has developed Lavish’s inclination towards mathematics and subsequently his intention of being aligned to the subject,” Vikas added.
