Anuj Kumar, assistant professor, Apeejay School of Management, was recently invited for a guest lecture by Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. The lecture was for the University Grants Commission- Human Resource Development Centre (UGC-HRDC) refresher course.
The session, which was organised online, was themed on e-marketing in the area of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The session was attended by more than 40 academicians from various institutes.
In the session, Professor Kumar discussed a range of issues like the roadblocks in the adoption of technology, factors supporting social media marketing in SMEs, and the restructuring of the role of government bodies. The training needs of SMEs should be fulfilled, he emphasised.
The session was quite enriching and enhanced the knowledge of the participants. All of them enjoyed and appreciated the talk.

Lokesh Uke, assistant professor, Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, said, “Professor Kumar has a vast amount of knowledge in SMEs and digitisation. The quality and quantity of his research work speak volumes about him. We were lucky to have him at the session. He imparted knowledge very well.”
The Apeejay professor added, “It was an honour to deliver a session at the UGC-HRDC refresher course. The SMEs sector is the backbone of our economy and unless they move towards e-marketing, it will be difficult for them to compete with big multinationals. Overall, it was an interactive session.”
