
Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar has once again etched its name in history by securing the Inter-Zonal Youth Festival Championship trophy for the 25th year in a row, reaffirming its unmatched legacy in cultural excellence. The college amassed an impressive 146 points, demonstrating its dominance across multiple categories at the Inter-Zonal Youth Festival organised by Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar.
The festival brought together the finest talent from various institutions, providing students a vibrant platform to showcase their creativity and artistic skills. True to its reputation, ACFA emerged as an indomitable force, winning not just the overall championship but also sweeping the Music, Literary, Fine Arts, Folk, and Theatre trophies.
ACFA students delivered exceptional performances across diverse events, securing first place in 20 competitions, including Folk Orchestra, Classical Instrumental (Percussion), Group Bhajan, Group Song, Clay Modelling, Collage Making, Elocution (Punjabi), Debate (English), Classical Dance, Choreography, Folk Song, Skit, Rangoli, General Dance, Geet/Ghazal, Vaar Singing, Classical Vocal, Western Vocal (Solo and Group), and Western Instrumental (Solo).
Their talent also shone through in other categories, with the college bagging second place in six events—Gidha, Kawishri, On-the-Spot Painting, One-Act Play, Phulkari, and Poster Making—and third place in two events, Elocution (English) and Mime.
Celebrating this monumental achievement, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressed immense pride in the students’ dedication and the college’s sustained track record of excellence. She shared that ACFA’s success in Youth Festivals for over two decades stands as a testament to the institution’s unwavering commitment to promoting art, culture, and holistic development.
Dr. Dhingra extended heartfelt gratitude to the visionary leadership and constant support that have been instrumental in shaping the college’s accomplishments. She also paid tribute to Dr. Stya Paul, Founder Chairman, acknowledging his inspiring vision that continues to guide the institution.
Applauding the students for their relentless efforts, she commended their discipline, creativity, and passion that culminated in this historic victory. She also appreciated the invaluable contribution of Dr. Arun Mishra, Cultural Advisor, Dr. Amita Mishra, Dean, Youth Festival, and all mentors whose guidance played a crucial role in preparing students for the competition.
