Creativity and curiosity came alive on Day 1 of the Wonder Kids Fiesta at Apeejay School, Model Town, as young learners immersed themselves in an engaging and hands-on Pottery Session. The activity, thoughtfully curated to blend fun with learning, offered children a unique opportunity to explore the world of clay modelling under expert guidance.
Learning the Art of Clay
The session was conducted by renowned pottery expert Mr. Bara Singh Dol, who demonstrated how a simple lump of clay can be transformed into beautiful and meaningful creations. With patience and skill, he guided the students through the basic techniques of moulding, shaping, and refining clay. His live demonstration sparked excitement and curiosity among the children, who watched with keen interest before trying it out themselves.

The young participants eagerly rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty, quite literally, as they experimented with clay. From shaping small pots to creating imaginative figures, each child expressed their individuality through their creations. The classroom buzzed with laughter, enthusiasm, and a sense of accomplishment as tiny masterpieces began to take form.
This hands-on activity not only nurtured creativity but also helped develop fine motor skills, concentration, and patience among the students. Working with clay encouraged them to focus, think creatively, and appreciate the beauty of handcrafted art.
Beyond Art: A Meaningful Experience
The pottery session went beyond being just an art activity, it became a valuable learning experience. It introduced children to traditional crafts, fostering an appreciation for artistic heritage while also promoting self-expression. The tactile nature of the activity allowed students to connect with their work in a deeply engaging way, making learning both enjoyable and memorable.

A Day to Remember
The Pottery Session stood out as one of the highlights of the Wonder Kids Fiesta, leaving a lasting impression on the young learners. It beautifully showcased how experiential learning can inspire creativity and confidence in children.
As imagination met art, the day unfolded into a delightful celebration of creativity, one that the students will cherish for a long time.
