Jalandhar’s Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) recently hosted the inter-college event ‘APEEJAY SPARK 2024’. With an aim to provide a platform for young learners to exhibit their communication, managerial, and technical prowess in various fine arts, literary, and IT competitions, the grand annual event brought together over 1000 students from 25 colleges across Punjab.
With the best wishes from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, ‘APEEJAY SPARK 2024’ was declared open. The mega event commenced with a soulful bhajan rendition, which was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, in the presence of other dignitaries.

In his welcome address, Dr. Bagga highlighted the year-on-year achievement of this grand fest and how APEEJAY SPARK offers young students a chance to showcase their capabilities while fostering a culture of healthy competition.
Further, Dr. Bagga advised students to express gratitude through prayer and meditation and provided insights into academic achievements, co-curricular activities, and research endeavours. He also emphasised the educational significance of such competitions, noting their role in unleashing students’ inherent talent and reigniting their passion for learning.


The participating colleges included notable institutions such as Baba Farid Group of Institutions, Doaba College, Government Arts & Sports College, Khalsa College for Women, Lyallpur Khalsa College, HMV College, DAV College, etc.

A wide range of competitions including Ad Mad Show, Debate, Business Plan, Net Savvy, LAN Gaming, Logic Testing, On the Spot Painting, and more, were held. Moreover, competitions like Nukkad Natak tackled sensitive social issues, showcasing the depth of thought and creativity among the participants. Managerial and analytical skills took center stage in events like the Ad-Mad Show and Business Plan, where students exhibited extensive research and answered questions with confidence.





The fest concluded with a captivating group dance performance, followed by a prize distribution ceremony. Dr. Rajesh Bagga presented mementos to dignitaries. In the end, Mr. Daljeet Matharu, Coordinator of Apeejay SPARK 2024, delivered a vote of thanks.
Undoubtedly, the mega event provided an outstanding experience to all the participants. “The event was a triumph of collaboration, showcasing remarkable talent and dedication. Every moment unfolded with precision, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to attend,” shared Muskan Miglani, an MBA student.
Another MBA student Switakshi expressed, “The event was truly remarkable, filled with moments that left a lasting impression. The organization and execution were impeccable, showcasing a commendable attention to detail. The atmosphere buzzed with positivity, making it a memorable experience for everyone in attendance.”
