The School of Engineering & Technology of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, organised a Felicitation Ceremony to recognise and celebrate the achievements of students who developed innovative Internet of Things (IoT)-based projects on the occasion of Engineer’s Day. The ceremony aimed to appreciate the creativity, technical expertise, and dedication demonstrated by students while working on technology-driven solutions.

The event brought together faculty members and students to honour the efforts of young innovators who showcased their project ideas during the Engineer’s Day celebrations. The IoT-based projects reflected the students’ ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical applications and highlighted their interest in emerging technologies.

During the ceremony, certificates were presented to the winning students in recognition of their outstanding project work. The awards acknowledged the students’ commitment to innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving in the field of engineering. The felicitation not only celebrated the winners but also encouraged other students to actively participate in project-based learning and technical competitions.

The certificates were presented by Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus, who personally congratulated the students for their achievements. While addressing the gathering, he emphasised the importance of innovation and practical learning in shaping the future of engineering students. He encouraged the young innovators to continue exploring new ideas, experiment with emerging technologies, and focus on developing solutions that can address real-world challenges.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajesh Bagga said,  “Innovation and practical learning are the true foundations of engineering. Recognizing students for their creativity and project-based learning motivates them to explore new ideas and develop solutions for real-world challenges.”

He further motivated students to take part in similar initiatives that provide hands-on experience and strengthen their analytical and technical skills. According to him, such platforms play a vital role in nurturing innovative thinking among students and preparing them for future technological advancements.

The IoT projects developed by the students demonstrated a variety of practical applications that can contribute to smart technologies and digital solutions. Through these projects, students were able to integrate sensors, connectivity, and automation to design systems that reflect the growing influence of IoT in modern industries.

Faculty members appreciated the enthusiasm and dedication displayed by the students and highlighted the importance of such activities in enhancing experiential learning. They noted that project-based initiatives encourage students to move beyond textbooks and apply their knowledge in practical and meaningful ways.

The felicitation ceremony proved to be an inspiring event that recognised the talent and hard work of budding engineers. It also served as a motivating platform for students to pursue innovation, research, and technological excellence.

By celebrating student achievements and encouraging creative problem-solving, the institute reaffirmed its commitment to promoting innovation-driven education and preparing students to contribute effectively to the evolving world of engineering and technology.
