Yoga for Self and Society: Celebrating International Yoga Day

Every year on June 21, the world comes together to celebrate International Yoga Day, a global event that promotes the timeless practice of yoga. Like every year, this year also the worthy management came together and joined hands to celebrate this very day.

This year’s theme, Yoga for Self and Society, emphasised the dual benefits of yoga in fostering personal well-being and contributing to societal harmony. With the enthusiastic support of the management, Apeejay School, Model Town organised the celebrations with great zeal and spirit.

The event saw students demonstrating various yoga poses and asanas, showcasing their dedication and understanding of the profound impact yoga has on mental stability and physical fitness. The highlight of the celebration is, that despite the schools being closed for summer break, students took part in the event from their homes.

The shared images vividly captured the students’ commitment to this ancient practice, highlighting their journey toward achieving remarkable flexibility, balance, strength, and improved body postures. Ms. Priyanka Grover, the Officiating Principal of the school expressed heartfelt gratitude to the parents and students for their active participation and for embracing a healthy routine that aligns with the school’s values.

She acknowledged the unwavering efforts of the teachers who, even during the summer break, continued to connect with and motivate the students, ensuring their well-being remained a priority.
