Recently, Apeejay School, Model Town, hosted a heart-warming event that placed kindness at the centre of learning. The celebration brought together Class II students for a meaningful discussion on empathy, care, and everyday good deeds. The focus was simple yet powerful. Helping children understand that kindness is not a one-time act, but a habit that grows with practice.
The session encouraged students to speak about moments when they chose to be kind. Each child shared small actions that made a difference in their daily lives. These included helping classmates, sharing stationery, comforting a friend, or showing respect to elders. The activity gave students a chance to reflect, speak with confidence, and listen to one another with patience.

Honoured as the kindness crew
In recognition of their thoughtful actions, the students were honoured as the Kindness Crew of the school. The title served as both appreciation and responsibility. The young learners beamed with pride as they received acknowledgement for their efforts. Teachers highlighted that kindness deserves to be noticed and celebrated, especially at a young age.
The event reinforced values that go beyond textbooks. It reminded students that kindness shapes character and builds stronger relationships.

Key takeaways for students
• Kind words can change someone’s day
• Helping others creates a positive classroom culture
• Being kind is a choice we make every day
By recognising kind behaviour in Class II, the school nurtures empathy, confidence, and social awareness. The initiative encouraged students to carry these values into classrooms, homes, and playgrounds, making kindness a daily practice rather than a lesson confined to one day.
