Welcoming new beginnings as this school rings in 2025 with joy and optimism

The New Year celebrations in schools are pivotal in fostering community and optimism among students and staff. Such events provide an opportunity to reflect on past achievements, set new goals, and strengthen bonds within the school community, all while creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness.  

Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, celebrated the arrival of the New Year with a vibrant and thoughtfully organised special assembly on December 30, 2024. Hosted by the students of class VIII, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and teachers, creating an atmosphere filled with positivity and joy.  

The programme commenced with a thought-provoking message and a Sanskrit shloka, highlighting the significance of fresh starts and perseverance. This was followed by an energetic dance performance that showcased the spirit of unity and celebration. Adding a creative touch, the students presented a captivating group song reflecting the struggles faced during exams, which struck a chord with the audience. 

One of the key highlights was a humorous yet insightful play on New Year resolutions, emphasising the importance of setting realistic goals to bring about positive change. A quiz based on general knowledge and the New Year theme further engaged the audience, sparking curiosity and active participation.

“New Year is a time to reflect on our past, learn from our experiences, and step forward with determination and hope. The students of Class VIII have showcased a wonderful assembly today, filled with creativity, teamwork, and valuable lessons. Let us all resolve to make this year better by embracing challenges and striving for excellence. Together, we can create a brighter future for ourselves and our school,” Dr Vineet Vasishtha, Principal of the school, shared.

The event also featured a heartfelt speech by a class VIII student, encouraging everyone to reflect on past achievements and set new goals for self-improvement. To honour the dedication of the teaching staff, a badge ceremony was conducted, acknowledging their valuable contributions to the school.

Infusing an element of fun, games were organised for teachers, resulting in lively participation and joyous moments. The programme concluded with an inspiring address by the Principal, who praised the efforts of the class VIII students and motivated everyone to embrace the New Year with renewed determination and optimism.

The celebration left a lasting impact, instilling hope and enthusiasm in all attendees. It marked a memorable beginning to the year, reinforcing the values of hard work, unity, and positivity within the school community.
