On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, paid tribute to one of India’s greatest visionaries — Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar — through a thoughtful and patriotic activity: the recitation of the Preamble of the Indian Constitution.
Dr Ambedkar, a towering figure in India’s freedom movement and the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, dedicated his life to fighting for equality, social justice, and the upliftment of the marginalised. His immense contribution continues to shape the democratic ideals and inclusive spirit of modern India.
The Constitution, which Dr Ambedkar drafted with meticulous care, stands as the foundation of our nation — a living document that ensures liberty, justice, equality, and fraternity for all citizens. At the heart of this guiding document lies the Preamble — a powerful statement of intent that encapsulates the soul of India’s democracy. It serves as a moral compass and a unifying force, reminding citizens of their rights, duties, and the core values on which the Republic is built.

In alignment with these ideals, students of Classes 6, 7 and 8 came together during the enrichment period to recite the Preamble. The session began with a brief introduction on the significance of the Indian Constitution and the central role of the Preamble in reflecting its spirit. Teachers explained how the Preamble is not just a set of lofty words but a call to action — a reminder of the responsibilities every citizen bears.
The recitation was carried out with great enthusiasm and reverence. As the students voiced each line — “Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity” — a sense of unity, national pride, and democratic awareness filled the room. The activity not only helped students connect with the ideals of Dr Ambedkar but also gave them a deeper appreciation of the guiding principles of India’s governance.

Through this meaningful celebration, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park reinforced its commitment to nurturing informed, responsible, and patriotic citizens.
