
Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, held its Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2025-26 in a grand and well-organised manner, celebrating student leadership, academic excellence, and the spirit of responsibility. Under the inspiring leadership of school Principal Mr AK Sharma, the event was conducted with great discipline and fervour, leaving an indelible mark on the entire school community.
The ceremony began on an auspicious note with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising knowledge and enlightenment. The dignified atmosphere of the auditorium was further elevated by the rendition of the School Song by the school choir, accompanied by the music teacher. The soulful performance echoed through the hall, setting the tone for a memorable event.
The highlight of the ceremony was the formal introduction of the newly appointed Prefectorial Board. With eyes gleaming with hope and shoulders carrying a new sense of responsibility, the student leaders marched up the stage to the rhythmic beats of the school drum. Each step they took resonated with their commitment to uphold the values and ethos of the school.
Navjot Singh Aujla was officially named the Head Boy, while Simran Kaur Kahlon was appointed the Head Girl for the academic year 2025–26. Alongside them, Jagmohan Singh and Arshavi Verma took over as Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl, respectively. Kartik was given the mantle of Sports Captain (Boys), and Arshpreet Kaur was named Sports Captain (Girls). Jaskaran Preet Kaur was entrusted with the role of Secretary of Activities. These young leaders stood tall, brimming with enthusiasm and a strong sense of duty.
Representatives from the four Houses — Beas, Saraswati, Satluj, and Yamuna — were also appointed to various leadership positions, including House Captains, Vice-house Captains, Sports Prefects, and Activity Prefects. Each student council member was honoured with a badge, symbolising their role as a pillar of leadership within the school community.
The Principal administered the oath to the newly formed student council, who solemnly pledged to carry out their responsibilities with integrity, sincerity, and commitment. The oath-taking ceremony was a powerful moment that inspired not just the student leaders but also their peers and teachers.
The event also recognised academic excellence as students were awarded scholar badges for their outstanding performance during the 2024-25 session. In addition, class representatives from classes VI to XII were honoured with pins by the Principal, highlighting the school’s dedication to encouraging leadership at every level.
In his address, the Principal, Mr Sharma, congratulated the newly appointed student council and appreciated the coordinated efforts of students, teachers, and parents in making the event a success. He expressed his firm belief in the leadership potential of the student body and encouraged them to lead the school towards new heights through discipline, dedication, and teamwork.
Vice-principal Mrs Aarti Shorey Bhat delivered the vote of thanks, extending heartfelt congratulations to the student council and expressing gratitude to everyone involved in organising the ceremony.
The proud and inspiring event came to a close with the National Anthem, filling the hall with a strong sense of patriotism and unity.
