The Uttar Pradesh government has issued an order of reopening the schools with 50% attendance. The High and intermediate schools will be reopened from August 16 with strict Covid-19 protocols in place. Colleges and universities reopen from 1st September. Students in UP must give the written consent of their parents to attend the schools. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, schools have been shut in India since March 2020. Though several states including Maharashtra, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Odisha and Haryana have resumed physical classes.
