UDYAMOTSAV 2025: Empowering Startups and Entrepreneurs in Delhi-NCR

In a grand celebration of National Startup Day, UDYAMOTSAV 2025, an Investor Network initiative led by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), showcased the vibrant startup ecosystem in India. Hosted at Amity University, Delhi-NCR, the event brought together over 300 startups and 90 investors, creating a dynamic platform for innovation and collaboration.

A Nationwide Initiative for Entrepreneurs

UDYAMOTSAV 2025 is part of the broader National Startup Week, spanning 14 cities across India, including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Pune, and Guwahati. Amity University, selected as the sole host from Delhi-NCR, stood as a beacon for innovation and entrepreneurship, fostering an environment for student startups to thrive. The event aimed to connect budding entrepreneurs with investors, mentors, and resources to scale their ventures.

Showcasing India’s Startup Potential

Professor TG Sitharam, Chairman of AICTE, highlighted India’s remarkable status as the third-largest startup hub globally, with over 1,50,000 startups driving innovation. He described UDYAMOTSAV as a vital initiative to bridge the gap between startups and investors, encouraging youth to embrace entrepreneurship as a pathway to national growth.

The event featured innovative pitches from startups, showcasing solutions like counterfeit detection apps, smart devices for Alzheimer’s patients, and sustainable fashion products. These ideas were evaluated on key parameters such as market fit, scalability, and financial viability, with follow-up processes in place to convert promising pitches into actionable funding deals.

Supporting Innovation and Growth

AICTE’s commitment to nurturing innovation was evident in initiatives like Institutional Innovation Councils (IICs) and Regional IIC Meets. Additionally, Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman of AICTE, introduced 50 Faculty Development Programs designed to empower educators in fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor of Amity University Haryana, expressed pride in hosting UDYAMOTSAV 2025, emphasising the role of young innovators in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. He described the event as a testament to the immense potential of India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
