At just eleven years old, Vedansh (class VI) from Apeejay School, Noida, is making waves in the literary world. His books, Ghosts of 2050 and Lift Rescue Chronicles, have not only captivated readers but also won prestigious awards at the National Young Authors Fair 2024-25. Recognised with the Global Hall of Fame and Pioneer Author Certificate, Vedansh’s journey as a young writer is nothing short of inspiring. In this exclusive conversation, he shares insights about his writing process, inspirations, and future aspirations.

From Poems to Bestsellers: A Young Writer’s Evolution

Vedansh’s journey into writing started early, in Class V, with a simple poem. “One day, I was really bored and decided to write something,” he recalls. “The next day, I showed it to my teacher, and she was amazed. She encouraged me to keep writing, and that’s when I thought, why not write a book?” This encouragement sparked his passion, leading him to complete his first book, Lift Rescue Chronicles, in just 13 days. His second book, Ghosts of 2050, took slightly longer—15 days—but the effort was well worth it.

His debut book, Lift Rescue Chronicles, was inspired by a real-life incident when his friend got stuck in a lift. “I thought it was an interesting experience to narrate, so I turned it into a book,” he shares. His second book, Ghosts of 2050, explores the futuristic concept of artificial intelligence and robots taking over the world. “I was fascinated by how technology is advancing, so I researched different technologies and imagined how they might evolve by 2050,” he explains.

Recognition and Awards

Vedansh’s hard work has been recognised at the national level. Lift Rescue Chronicles earned him the Pioneer Author Certificate, while Ghosts of 2050 won the prestigious Jury Award. “When I heard that I had won these awards, I was really excited and amazed,” he says. “It was a big achievement for me.” His parents and teachers were equally proud, celebrating his success and motivating him to continue his literary journey.

His recognition doesn’t stop there. Vedansh has been featured in India Today, appeared on a Spotify podcast, and even been interviewed by CNN News18. With his rising popularity, he will soon be honoured at a formal ceremony for his remarkable achievements.

Support from School and Family

Apeejay School, Noida, has played a crucial role in supporting Vedansh’s talent. “My teachers helped me improve my writing by suggesting new words that made my stories better,” he says. “The school also gave me time off to focus on my writing and attend award ceremonies.” He also credits his mother as his first reader and biggest cheerleader. “She was really amazed when she read my book for the first time. Her advice was simple—never give up and keep writing better books.”

Writing Process and Future Plans

Balancing studies and writing is not easy, but Vedansh has found a way to manage both. “I study for an hour and then take some time to think and write,” he shares. This disciplined approach has helped him stay focused and creative. And he has no plans of stopping anytime soon—his third book is already in the works and is expected to be released in March soon.

When asked what advice he would give to other young aspiring writers, he says, “Create a strong plot with exciting twists and an interesting book title. Writing is all about creativity and imagination!” He also recommends platforms like BriBooks, where young writers can write and publish their stories. “I designed my book covers myself using BriBooks,” he adds proudly.

A Message to Readers

Through his books, Vedansh hopes to offer readers an engaging and immersive experience. “I want my readers to enjoy the adventure, feel excited about the plot, and connect with the characters. Reading should be fun and uplifting!” he says.

With his talent, determination, and passion for storytelling, Vedansh is set to become a literary sensation. His journey proves that age is no barrier to success—only imagination and dedication matter!
