This student has won the scholar badge award every year

Sanjivani Singh is an academic achiever at Apeejay School, Noida. She achieves an impeccable percentage annually and not surprisingly has also won the prestigious scholar badge award every year without fail. Selected for an academic champs special interview, we learn more about Sanjivani’s career plans in a brief conversation. 

Please share some insights about your academic excellence? 
 My school Apeejay Noida has got a very encouraging policy of providing scholar badges to students for excellent academic performances during the academic year. I feel happy to share that with the guidance of my teachers and support of my family & friends, I have been able to receive a scholar badge every year since I joined the school. And I am also very hopeful that I will continue performing well in the future as well. I scored an aggregate of 96% in class 9 and 96.4% in 8th standard. My recent periodic tests in class 10 went quite well too.

So the teachers are doing a fine job?
Certainly! All the teachers are very knowledgeable. They make sure that every doubt is cleared. The classes are very informative and entertaining at the same time. Learning is fun and all the complicated and factual topics are well explained and readdressed if a doubt remains. Every child gets to ask questions and the classes are very interactive. We all get to learn from these discussions.

The teachers are very supportive and caring. They always encourage the students to perform to the best of their abilities. The course curriculum has also been designed to help the students in their overall development.

That’s great! But what’s your ambition in life?
 I wish to study B.Tech in computer science at an IIT. I wish to contribute to the development of the nation, be a part of the technological advancements taking place in our country and bring some significant changes.

So the analytical subjects are your favourite then?
Mathematics is my favorite subject because it challenges me to solve problems. And after solving the problems, I gain sheer satisfaction. Math prepares me to face problems in life. To be honest, the fact that it requires minimal theoretical memorization makes it more appealing. If my concepts are clear and I practice sufficiently it makes me feel confident. Science is also one of my favorite subjects because it involves practical application of concepts. Science as a whole is amusing, as it intrigues the mind to explore more.  

Now, do tell us how the school encourages you to chase your dreams?
My school is very supportive. The teachers always have high expectations and keep motivating me to participate in various curricular as well as co-curricular competitions. The teachers are always available to solve doubts or issues in any topic. There have been instances where my teachers understood the confusion I faced in a topic, which reflected in my answers. They then cleared that right away. And being covered by the Apeejay Newsroom for this interview in itself is an encouragement to me.
