On November 3, 2025, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, observed the birthday of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education, with deep respect and heartfelt enthusiasm. The special assembly, held at the school quadrangle, was a tribute to her visionary leadership and enduring contributions to education. The celebration reflected the school’s core values of gratitude, excellence, and humanism — principles that Chairman Ma’am has upheld throughout her inspiring journey.

The event began with a solemn prayer led by the school Principal, setting a thoughtful tone for the morning. This was followed by a melodious choir performance that filled the atmosphere with harmony and devotion. Students shared a meaningful thought on values, which was followed by an insightful talk on human values, reminding everyone of the guiding ideals that shape the Apeejay Education ethos.

Honouring a legacy of excellence

The Principal delivered a warm welcome address, sharing the spirit and purpose behind the celebration. The school song, Hum Apeejay ke bache, resonated across the quadrangle, uniting students and staff in pride and belonging. One of the highlights of the assembly was a choreographic enactment presented by the students. Through graceful movements and expressive storytelling, they portrayed the humanistic vision that defines the Apeejay legacy.

The Vice-principal presented a brief yet touching profile of the late Dr Stya Paul, Founder-Chairman, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, honouring their lasting impact on education. This was followed by a message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, read by the Principal. Her words of wisdom and blessings inspired the school community to continue striving for excellence with compassion and purpose.

A promise renewed

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt ‘pledge’ led by the Activity In-charge, where students and staff reaffirmed their commitment to the school’s values. The event ended on a patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem, marking the close of a meaningful celebration dedicated to a remarkable leader whose life continues to inspire generations.
