Apeejay School, Noida, marked a significant milestone recently, with a vibrant and inspiring special assembly to celebrate its proud achievement of receiving the Recognition of International Dimension in Schools (RIDS) accreditation (2025-27). The event, infused with joy, pride, and reflection, underscored the school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing global citizens who are conscious of sustainable and inclusive development.

The celebration commenced with an uplifting address by the Principal, setting the tone for the event by highlighting the school’s consistent efforts to integrate international learning and sustainability into its curriculum. This was followed by a series of thought-provoking student presentations focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), showcasing the depth of understanding and creativity nurtured across grade levels.

Central to the event was the felicitation ceremony, where all RIDS project leaders were recognised for their dedicated efforts. Ms Juhi Mehta, Ms Rashi Rawal, Ms Priya Sharma, Ms Usha Sachdeva, Ms Mukta Rakheja, Ms Poonam Mittal, and Ms Pinky Mathur, along with their enthusiastic student teams, took to the stage to share insights and experiences from their impactful projects. Their presentations reflected not only academic enrichment but also the evolution of empathy, awareness, and a sense of responsibility among students.

Students from Nursery to Class XII participated in a wide range of cross-cultural and interdisciplinary projects. “Vanishing Wonders” heightened awareness about India’s endangered species, stressing the need for conservation. The “Worldly Wardrobe” project fostered appreciation of traditional clothing across global cultures, encouraging respect for diversity. Through “The Heritage Horizons Activity,” students engaged in heritage walks, cultivating a personal connection with India’s historical legacy.

Another standout initiative, “The Global Garden,” explored the medicinal uses of traditional plants, while “Timeless Thrills” revived forgotten traditional games, offering a nostalgic yet educational glimpse into the past. The project “Mythological and Scientific Reality” bridged the gap between ancient myths and contemporary science, nurturing analytical thinking. Meanwhile, “Future Foundry: Connecting the 4Rs” promoted environmentally responsible behaviour by emphasising the principles of reduce, reuse, recycle, and recover.

The smooth coordination of these diverse and enriching projects was made possible under the guidance of Project Coordinators Ms Shreya Chattopadhyay and Ms Anuradha Mittal. Collaborative Head Ms Manjari Rattan played a key role in aligning efforts across departments, while Ms. Monika Agarwal ensured seamless IT support throughout the program.

The assembly concluded with a collective pledge to uphold sustainability and global harmony. The RIDS celebration at Apeejay School, Noida, stood as a testament to its visionary leadership, dedicated faculty, and vibrant student body — all committed to creating a better world through education, awareness, and action.
