The Republic Day celebrations at Apeejay’s IB School, Apeejay School International, Panchsheel Park, unfolded as a vibrant and meaningful homage to India’s Constitution. The 76th Republic Day event began on a soulful note with the National Anthem, setting the stage for a day that blended patriotism, creativity, and thought-provoking performances.
Students reflected on the adoption of the Indian Constitution on January 26, 1950, and paid tribute to its architects and unsung heroes. Nia Lobo, from DP-2 (Class XII), eloquently shared Dr BR Ambedkar’s vision, emphasising that a Constitution driven by collective intent becomes a powerful catalyst for progress.
The event showcased the school’s exceptional poetic talent. Viraj Punjabi from the PYP-5 recited the soulful Hum Anek Kintu Ek, focusing on unity in diversity, while Pihu from PYP-4 charmed the audience with Bharat Desh Humara Hai, celebrating India’s incredible secular fabric.



Young Liam from PYP-2 delivered a heartfelt poem on the Constitution’s unifying power, while Shanaya mesmerised everyone with the iconic Hindi poem Veer Tum Bade Chalo, celebrating the relentless patriotic spirit needed for progress. Naomi, from PYP-1, delighted the audience with a vibrant rendition of Saare Jahaan Se Achha, her performance made electric by the audience’s rhythmic claps.
The tiniest stars — Aishwarya, Ramaira, Mahmoud, and Nysha from Reception (Pre-primary) — captivated hearts with their adorable rendition of Hum Honge Kamiyab, waving the Tricolour with infectious enthusiasm. Adding to the patriotic mood, the PYP choir sang a stirring version of Ae Watan, while MYP and DP students presented poignant poetry and speeches.
Inspiring Performances
The self-composed poetry competition highlighted the creativity of MYP students. Vamika’s Sabka Theek Thaak Hai Haal? addressed feminism and societal challenges, while Ryan Kheterpal’s Sanvidhan celebrated the Constitution as the backbone of an inclusive society. Arnav’s Swantra Bharat and Aryan’s verses on citizenship illuminated the Constitution’s role as a guiding light to a brighter future.


Aaditya Mathur of MYP-5 delivered a rousing speech on fundamental rights, lauding the Indian Constitution as a beacon among global democracies. His impassioned words left the audience inspired and proud.
Vibrant dance performances on Jai Ho and Rang De Basanti by PYP students added energy and excitement to the event. Aarya (PYP-3), Arshee, Kian, Rajnandini (PYP 4), and Vedant (PYP-5) delivered spectacular performances that drew loud applause.
Shreya from MYP-4 led students in reading the Preamble of the Constitution, fostering a deeper appreciation of India’s commitment to equality, justice, and liberty.

The Principal, Apeejay’s IB School, Mr Purshottam Dutt Vashist commended the students’ efforts, stating, “Our Constitution, the longest in the world, is a masterpiece shaped by rigorous research and deep understanding of global democracies. It binds our diverse nation together, enshrining not only rights but also responsibilities. As students, your greatest responsibility is to study hard, develop your potential, and grow into responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to India’s progress.”
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the skilled anchors Harshitha Khuurana and Smera Sachdeva from MYP-4. Their grace and eloquence left the audience feeling inspired and proud to be part of India’s extraordinary journey.
With its perfect blend of performances and messages, the Republic Day celebration at Apeejay’s IB School was a memorable tribute to India’s rich constitutional heritage and patriotic spirit.
