Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, celebrated a remarkable milestone as its Finance Club secured an All-India Rank of 43 (North Region) in the Postgraduate Category of the prestigious National Financial Literacy Quiz (NFLQ) 2024–25. The quiz, conducted by the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), aims to promote financial awareness and empower students with critical financial knowledge.

The scale of participation this year was unprecedented, with over 4 lakh students from 11,975 colleges across India taking part in the online round of the quiz. In this competitive landscape, AIMETC’s performance is not just a testament to the students’ knowledge but a reflection of the institution’s consistent efforts in promoting financial literacy.

Over 30 students from various schools under AIMETC’s umbrella enthusiastically participated in the event, guided by Dr. Anu Sahi (Convenor) and Ms. Arushi Sidana (Coordinator). Both mentors have been instrumental in nurturing financial acumen among students and emphasized the growing importance of equipping youth with real-world financial skills. “This national recognition is a testament to our students’ diligence and our faculty’s continuous focus on developing practical financial competencies,” said Dr. Anu Sahi.

The Finance Club’s achievement aligns with the institute’s larger mission of holistic education. Director Dr. Rajesh Bagga, while congratulating the students and faculty, remarked, “Financial literacy is a key life skill, and we are proud to be among the top institutions contributing to this mission. Our Finance Club’s performance in the NFLQ reflects the institute’s forward-thinking approach and commitment to skill-based learning.”

The NFLQ experience provided students not only with a platform to test their financial knowledge but also an opportunity to build confidence and engage with nationwide peers on critical topics like investment, budgeting, financial planning, and market mechanisms. The club’s accomplishment is particularly inspiring in light of the ever-changing economic landscape, where sound financial decision-making is increasingly vital.

This achievement has sparked enthusiasm across the AIMETC campus and has further reinforced the value of co-curricular engagement in building leadership and life skills. As AIMETC continues its journey of academic excellence and industry relevance, the Finance Club’s success in the NFLQ 2024–25 stands as a proud moment—motivating students to take active roles in shaping their financial futures.
