For junior students, the school should provide a nurturing environment that balances academics, creativity, and personal development. “Apeejay School’s commitment to moral education and discipline is truly commendable. By fostering respect, honesty, responsibility, and kindness, it shapes students’ character,” shares Sandeep Chopade, whose son, Swarnjit, studies in Class IV at Apeejay School, Nerul.

Read on to know how lessons in respect, honesty, responsibility, and kindness are imparted here.

Is the school environment conducive for kids?

My son adapted to the school environment very well. He got along well with his teachers and classmates, followed the rules, and quickly became comfortable with the school routine. He now enjoys going to school every day.

Are the teachers supportive?

Swarnjit finds the activity-based and practical parts of the curriculum most beneficial because they make learning fun, help him understand topics better, and allow him to use what he learns easily.

What kind of activities and extracurricular activities does the school organise?

The school organises a diverse range of activities, from cultural events to academic and sports competitions such as Sports Week, Maths Relay, and Chess. Swarnjit particularly enjoys sports events, as he loves running and playing football. He also likes taking part in chess and carrom competitions. Overall, he enthusiastically participates in and enjoys all the events organised by the school.

What has he learnt at school so far?

Swarnjit talks about his school experiences with a lot of excitement. There’s always something happening at school, and he often comes home saying, “Today I did this, and I did that at school!” He enjoys sharing stories about his friends, teachers, classroom activities, and the fun events that happen at school.

How does the school promote holistic education?

I feel positive about the school’s moral values and discipline. The school emphasises respect, honesty, responsibility, and kindness, which guide students in their daily behaviour. I can see the responsibility and moral values in my child, Swarnjit. At times, when we are in public, his good manners, polite behaviour, and respectful attitude clearly reflect the values taught by the school.
