Read edited excerpts.
How did you feel after receiving the prestigious Dr Stya Paul Award?
Great Almighty is always present with you. He has ample ways to shower his blessings. I thank him with folded hands that he made me stand to that extent to hold this prestigious award. I thank my school, my Principal, my headmistress madam, all teachers, my grandparents, and my parents for their endless efforts and support. It was my mother’s dream that I received the Dr Stya Paul Award.
What are the core values you believe are relevant in today’s time?
I believe the only values that predict how people interact, precisely, are humility, respect, and honesty.
How do you resonate with the motto – Soaring High is My Nature?
High standards do not just simply imply materialistic ideology; high standards of intellect and modesty imply what we are. We must adhere to those thoughts throughout our blessed life.
What is your philosophy for leading a good life?
Stop judging and complaining about others: Self-introspection should be our focus. I want to quote a famous line by a great philosopher that goes like this: ‘Be the change that you wish to see in the world.’
What is your driving force after receiving this award?
Everyone’s definition of success is different, but I prefer to stay the same person before and after this achievement.
What are the basic human values people lack?
The basic human values people lack include being happy for others. Some people are always jealous of others, due to which they can never achieve anything in their life. Another core human value lacking in many people is honesty.
A lot of people are always lying about themselves or their work, but by doing so they are only ruining themselves. And that’s why they say, honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom. There is one thing we can do to help people follow these human values, and that is to motivate them. If we follow these values ourselves, then we can be an example for others to live by.
