Read about his journey…
Tell about yourself.
I’m currently on a journey to become a chess master, and I’m actively working towards that goal. In addition to my dedication to chess, I’m taking classes in various subjects like Math, Science, and football. Balancing these different areas of study and activities helps me stay intellectually engaged and physically fit. I enjoy maintaining a well-rounded lifestyle that challenges both my mind and body.

What exactly does the human value mean to you?
The learner profiles defined by the International Baccalaureate (IB) can best describe my experiences. With 10 distinct profiles, they emphasise key attributes like integrity and being principled. Among these, I find that being caring, open-minded, and principled is the most significant which comes under human values. These qualities guide me in my academic and personal growth, helping me stay true to my values while maintaining a well-rounded perspective.
How did you feel when you got this award?
I was very happy when I received it. I tend to get nervous easily, so I was a bit surprised as well, but it truly felt like a significant milestone in my journey.
A situation where you have demonstrated human values.
I’ve also had the opportunity to volunteer with the Swayam Foundation. For 20 days, I dedicated two hours each day to supporting and helping those in need. It was a rewarding experience that allowed me to give back to the community and make a positive impact.
What inspires you the most about Dr Stya Paul?
He always had a long-term perspective, which I admired. He would often think deeply about the future and the impact of his actions. This forward-thinking approach taught me the importance of planning, setting goals, and considering how present decisions align with future aspirations.
